Our Commitment

Rovafi is committed to maintaining a safe, trustworthy marketplace for all users. This Trust & Safety Policy outlines how we handle fraud, disputes, and enforcement on the Platform.

Reporting Fraud & Suspicious Activity

If you encounter fraudulent, suspicious, or unsafe activity on Rovafi, please report it immediately. You can report issues through:

  • The in-app reporting feature on any listing, profile, or message.
  • Email at support@rovafi.com with the subject line "Trust & Safety Report".
  • Include as much detail as possible: screenshots, listing URLs, user profiles, and a description of the issue.

What We Investigate

Rovafi takes reports seriously and investigates the following types of activity:

  • Fraudulent Listings — Fake vehicles, misleading photos, false pricing, VIN fraud, or odometer tampering.
  • Scams — Requests for payment outside the Platform, phishing attempts, advance-fee fraud, or impersonation.
  • Stolen Vehicles — Listings of vehicles suspected to be stolen or illegally obtained.
  • Harassment & Threats — Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior toward other users.
  • Fake Accounts — Accounts created with false identities or for the purpose of deception.
  • Regulatory Violations — Unlicensed dealers operating as private sellers, or dealers violating applicable laws.

Platform Role in Disputes

Rovafi is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers. It is important to understand:

  • Rovafi is NOT a party to any vehicle transaction.
  • Rovafi does NOT act as a mediator, arbitrator, or adjudicator in disputes between users.
  • Rovafi does NOT verify vehicle condition, ownership, or title status.
  • Rovafi does NOT provide escrow, payment guarantees, or refunds.
  • Disputes between buyers and sellers must be resolved directly between the parties or through appropriate legal channels.

Buyer Safety Tips

To protect yourself when purchasing a vehicle on Rovafi:

  • Always inspect the vehicle in person before purchasing.
  • Request a vehicle history report (e.g., CARFAX) and verify the VIN.
  • Meet in a safe, public location for viewings and test drives.
  • Never send payment before seeing the vehicle in person.
  • Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true.
  • Verify the seller's identity and vehicle ownership documents.
  • Use secure payment methods and keep records of all transactions.

Seller Safety Tips

To protect yourself when selling a vehicle on Rovafi:

  • Verify buyer identity before allowing test drives.
  • Meet in a safe, public location.
  • Accompany buyers on test drives or request a valid driver's license.
  • Use secure payment methods — avoid accepting personal cheques from unknown buyers.
  • Complete all paperwork and transfer of ownership through proper legal channels.

Enforcement Actions

When we confirm a violation of our policies, Rovafi may take the following actions:

  • Warning — A notice to the user about the violation.
  • Listing Removal — Removing the offending listing from the Platform.
  • Account Suspension — Temporarily restricting account access pending investigation.
  • Permanent Ban — Permanently removing the user from the Platform.
  • Law Enforcement Referral — Reporting criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
